When I try and change / add privileges for users in the database, I get the error:
Changing the access privileges of the user or user group failed.
For detailed information please refer to the log file on the server.
To which log file is this message referring?
I figured out what the problem was. It was due to me using the superuser and not the system user. Only the system and arisservice users have database administration privileges by default.
If anyone could still let me know where the "log file on the server" resides it would be much appreciated.
Dear Bertus,
Great that you share your findings with the ARIS Community! If only everyone would do that... #LeadByExample
I admit the error message you received bis a bit too vague as it is used for many different types of errors.
Best is always that you gather all log files using the batch file collectLogFiles.bat in folder .\support in your ARIS installation. You will get a zip file with all found log files.
By searching through the expanded files with a keyword from the error message using an text file editor such as Notepad++ and its search option "Find in Files", you will find more details of what went wrong.
Cheers
Rune
