I love the feature for embedding mashapp into iframe. It's very powerful, I'm working to integrate it into the company's intranet, but I wonder if it's possible to publish a mashapp as public, so that the login operation is not necessary. That should be useful to publish graphically public data.
Is it possible, or you need always to login with a user?
I'm using the professional edition (2.2).
I saw this article
http://www.ariscommunity.com/users/stephan-freudl/2010-09-02-mashzone-whats-next
but I'm not sure to understand the version I need.
thanks
Caro Dario,
You can access mashups without login.
- Go to Administration / User management
- Click tab Guest access
- Click Activate (and provide a password)
- Go to Home
- Select the mashup you'd like to share in public
- Click More.../Share...
- Enable the option Publish (allows displaying with login)
- Click Share
- Click More... / Link to MashApp...
- Enable option No login (if not available click first MashZone link... then Direct link)
- Click Copy to clipboard
- Open your browser, paste the copied URL and open it. If successful, bookmark it.
- Done!
Cheers
Rune
You are right. According to the comparison of MashZone editions I was mistakenly assuming an Enterprise Edition, where the above procedure applies.
However, your Profesional Edition is not offering the feature of Users and Viewers, where latter ones are thoses anonymously accessing mashups.

Rune
As Rune indicated, MashZone Enterprise Edition is required to access selected MashApps anonymously, i.e. without providing user name and password. In fact, our Gallery works exactly this way.
Putting the technical details aside please keep the legal constraints in mind: MashZone is licensed by named users. In case of MashZone Enterprise Edition in addition, you have the option of licensing named viewers. In contrast to users a viewer can only look at MashApps but cannot modify them. The same applies to data feeds.
To license a publicly accessible MashApp please drop us a message so our sales colleagues may craft an offer for you.
