Enhancing productivity of service networks through collaborative business process management was the project goal of KollaPro (Collaborative process-oriented service productivity management), which has now completed.
Although, especially in service industries, many business ideas are process-oriented, business model frameworks merely cover key activities. These key activities are only rarely put into a timely and logical sequence. Moreover, it is questionable whether process models fulfill all functions of conceptual business models. In this talk, a method for the design of process-oriented business models is presented. The creation of this method was supported by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) in the research project KollaPro. Partners were the University of Muenster, Software AG, best practice consulting AG, and Durable Hunke & Jochheim GmbH & Co. KG.
As part of this project, Software AG developed a prototype for collaborative process-oriented production management of service industries by applying ARIS.
