I just installed ARIS on a co-workers machine using the latest version of the ARIS software from the IDS Scheer download site (download.ids-scheer.com). She is having difficulty accessing the LOCAL server. It runs for a while trying to start the server and then times out. I used the same software to install ARIS on three other laptops with no issues. The only difference is that her machine is running Windows 7… while the rest are running Windows XP Enterprise. I believe it is a firewall issue. When we turned off the wireless signal on her machine… a pop-up was displayed asking for permission to allow access to the program. After clicking allow access, ARIS continued to run and then timed out like before.
Any advice on how to correct this problem?
