Hi,
I am very new to ARIS environment and before using it I want to check if it provides some capability about setting associations between BPMN elements and any other artifact.
I want to be able to associate an entity to a "task" in my BPMN model. In some cases this association becomes a "realization" when the entity is "requirement", and in some cases it becomes a "dependency" when the entity is for example a policy document.
By doing so, in the end, I may want to see a traceability matrix showing me how many requirements are "realized", or "implemented" by process tasks.
I can perform such operations in Enterprise Architect and want to learn if any edition of ARIS provides such a capability for us.
Regards.
Özgür.
Hi Özgür,
You can associate other Business Architecture objects to the BPMN activity by assigning a Function Allocation Diagram to it. The FAD is an EPC process concept, but by using it in BPMN you can achieve a similar result.
If you are using ARIS 9 you would then be able to do the traceability analyses, if it is an older version, you will have to get a custom script developed to output to Excel or Word...
