hello,
the ldap connection is working well and when a ldap user access to the ARIS server, a user is created, ant the authentification is made by the ldap server.
but i want to manage the user group...
the more simple would be a default user group (for students)
the best would be to use an ldap attribut as user group...
This seems to be possible regardinyg setup of ldap in ARIS, but not documented in ARIS install and admin...
Do you have any detailed documentation ?
thanks in adance

Hi Pierre,
Unfortunately, I don't have a solution, rather I have the same problem.
I would also like to understand how to default a user group to a user created from LDAP on first login. I have configured LDAP not to import groups as user user groups, as each user has many AD groups and this makes user group administration messy.
The ideal solution would be to have a single default user group that is assigned to each user when created via the LDAP synchronisation when they first log on. This user group would then have a default level of access to the databases I want them to have access to, and a Connect Viewer licence assigned via the user group.
I can't see a configuration setting that allows this, so when each user logs on for the first time their user is created but they have no access as there is no licence or database access assigned (either directly or, ideally, via a common default user group).
Can anyone help us with this requirement? Is it possible?
Many Thanks,
Ben
