hello..
i suppose many of you have face the problem of 64 bits versions of Firefox... with no java plugin, so no possibility to use ARIS using Webclient.. This is a general issue and at the end of 2016, it'll be impossible to use ARIS (web) (Firefox 32 bit will no longuer support if, chrome and edge do not support... In fact, the npapi technology, base of all browser plugin seems to be out of date...
Do you have a planned answer to maintain a web solution without npapi plugins... ??
A HTML5 ARIS Client ?
pam
Dear PAM,
ARIS tackled that topic already with its latest release ARIS 9.8.2 by offering an alternative to the Java plugin for its ARIS download clients. See chapter 6.7 Download Clients in ARIS Server Installation and Administration Guide.pdf how to configure that.
A local JRE is still needed for the ARIS download client, however, no longer as part of the browser. In the browser you simply download a JAR file which is meant to be executed by the local JRE (java.exe).
Cheers
