First- I have been provided with polish language version of ARIS so I apology if I mix up English names. I’ll do my best translating.
I am using Diagram Process (BPMN 1.x) in ARIS platform and I am struggling with connecting different processes. I have created a bunch of processes for an organization and most of them link to a single process (invoicing). As far as I know I can use intermediate event or end event and copy/paste it as start event in my Invoicing Process. But do I need to put there 50 separate start events in Invoicing? And also like 30 end events (in case invoicing doesn’t appear at the end of my processes and therefore has to come back).
(Invoicing is just an example and actually there are a lot of processes linking between each other)
Mmmh, there are different strategies how to accomplish that. You could use events as a mechanism to connect different process. But you could also use functions and assign a more detailed process diagram to it. Maybe try this second approach if it is more suitable for you.
Hi Tadeusz!
It’s a common problem of processes connection. From my experience – I don’t show for example 50 inputs (events) to the target process, only one event (end event for 50 processes). At the same time this event should be copied as occurrence from (or to) these 50 processes, of course if this events are same by the neture
