I have published a database from ARIS 9.x to Publisher 9.x and it not all of the content seems to have come over. It is missing entire folders, and in the folders that did publish, the models are missing half the objects and most fo the connectors between objects. I've attempted to make updates to the published database but nothing changed. I have also tried different browsers (IE and Firefox are available at my work), but the problem persists.

Can anyone point me to some things I should be looking at?

It appears the folders that did not come over were empty and did not contain any models inside of them, So I assume Publisher does not show empty folders. I still can't figure out why the models that are published only have some fo the objects inside them.

Hi Tracy,

Have you checked if the missing objects/relationships are stored in a folder which is not published?

Probably that's the issue. You may want to check the properties of a "missing" object in ARIS to see if the Group Path is not marked to be published.

A good practice to avoid this is to create a Repository folder where all objects need to be stored, and then give read access to this folder to the Publisher user group.

Another possibility is that the filter assigned to the Publisher user group doesn't allow those object types, but I'm not sure if in this case the objects are completely missing or if the outline is displayed as "grayed out".

Hope that helps.

How do I to find if an objects "Group Path" has been marked to be published?

The possibility that the folders are empty, create any model (EX:EBC)  inside the folder (group) and then try to make update for publish export.

Hi Tracy,

We had encountered with similar problem. When we published our database there were some missing objects. I mean their contents were empty. We tried to reset template on the designer and save the model. After that we select again our specific template and save the model. Then publish it again. Maybe this solution can work on your problem.
