Hi,
I am new to BPM as well as ARIS.
The technology stack we have to use is:-
ARIS for modelling,
JBoss BRMS and
Fuse ESB/Apache Service Mix .
I have to integrate model developed in ARIS with JBoss(in JBoss Dev Studio we should be able to import ARIS model and create a functioning workflow out of it).
I am not sure if this is feasible but can someone confirm this.
Please help me with this. Pointers are welcome.
Regards,
Puneet
There are many options how to do that. Best approach would probably be to model your process in BPMN using ARIS and afterwards exporting the model into XPDL. From there, you take over in the JBoss world.
However, if you intend to do that on a regular basis and not as some kind of proof of concept, you will probably want to think up about modelling conventions, defining how to do it, etc.
Hi Dr. Sebastian,
Thank you so much for your reply.
We will be automating some of our client's processes. Does last part of your reply (you will probably want to think up about modelling conventions, defining how to do it, etc.) means that after importing it in JBoss we may have to do some manual alteration in the process models every time because of cross vendor implementation tool? Please let us know.
I repeat that I am new to BPM and so please be considerate with my silly queries.
Thanks and Regards,
Puneet
Hi Puneet,
unless you have a really simple example, you will probably need to rework the processes in JBoss. You can minimize the effort by including as much as possible in the diagrams on ARIS side. However, you should define what elements you want to maintain in ARIS and what better to do directly in JBoss. This definition is what I'm referring to by modelling conventions.
Hi Dr. Sebastian,
I thank you again for your reply.
We are actually in the process of evaluation of ARIS and other BPM products. Is there any evaluation kind of license available for ARIS products specifically ARIS Implementation Platform's ARIS SOA Architect.
