Hello guys
Is there any way to document queries in Aris as you can do with reports (there is a description field in Architect attached to reports , but no such things for queries) ?
Many thanks

Hello, Recently I was looking for the same functionality but was unable to find it. According to my Aris implementation partner there is unfortunately no means to document your query in Aris. Not even via a description field or something similar. However, I'd love to hear otherwise. I documenting now in an external text editor or wiki. Not optimal.
In my opinion this is more than annoying, especially when your queries get more complicated. i.e. using imported queries, there is no trace of how you build your query. One needs to document the query as part of the query (in Aris) somehow.
Best Regards.
Hi Michel Bénard,
I would create a table (create table view) and add a sheet called "Description".Thanks to columns and rows you can even structure it nicely. Like:
Creator | Me |
Creation date | Today |
Purpose | Because |
Start object | Object |
... |
Maybe this helps :)
Best,
Veronika
