Did you meet the next issue and if yes then how you solved it.
When we updated ARIS from 10.0.3 to SR 12 or from 10.0.7 to SR12 it kept the ArisAdm tool from the previous version, and we can't connect to the server, e.g. as result auto backups don't work.
If you met this how did you solved it? Locally, for a local client, it updated, we even tried to overwrite it but it seems there are some other files that are used.
We could not reinstall all the release, it would be quite painful for server in prod. So thanks in advance for any idea.
P.S. SAG, your eService still not work, we can't raise a ticket. And because we had this issue for different tenants - there's a systematic issue.

I assume that you have an ARIS server installed with an "ARIS SERVER setup" at this machine.
I further assume that you have installed the ARIS admin tool with the "ARIS CLIENT setup" option "ARIS Admin Tool" and use it for autobackups by calling the ARIS Admin excutable, correct ?
If you update the ARIS server via server setup, it will only update the content within the Server setup which is not the ARIS Admin Tool Executable.
The easiest way for you is to run the ARIS client setup at the server machine, it will update the ARISadmin exectubale to the current version.
Other methods for backup:
There is an arisadmin batch file within the abs runnable tools directory which is part of the server and therefore always upt todate.
ARIS Backups should btw not be done with the ARISAdmin alone as it covers only the modeling data but rather with the ARIS cloud controller command "backup tenant" for tenants master & default and any further tenants used by you.
Please take also a look at the built in backup functionality which is the recommended way to do so..

Reminder: Don't forget to backup master tenant as well..
