Once the icon is installed on my desktop I double click it and a window appears saying, "The application has requested to go online..." I click ok.
The next window that appears says, "Downloading application, veryfying application" it then goes on to say, "Unable to launch the application"
under details says error 0. Please assist.
Will it not work if I uninstall Java 7 and download a version 6 of Java?

so I have downgraded to java 6 and express works, but now there is a new problem... Everytime I click on the installed express icon to open ARIS it has to download everytime.
I have Java 6 Update 21 and I have the same problem.
Please uninstall ARIS Express completely and afterwards use the new setup exe of ARIS Express 2.4 to install it.
Your solution worked for me. I am able to launch Aris Express now. Thank you.

There is a bug in the new Java version 7, update 7, which prevents ARIS Express to start. Most likely, you automatic JRE update installed this version. There is no other way to go back to an older JRE, until the new version of the JRE is available.
