1) ARIS 9.8 SR1, the most recent release, is available on these operating systems:

• Windows 7, 8, 8.1 (only ARIS clients, not ARIS server products)
• Windows Server 2008, 2008 R2, 2012, 2012 R2
• Linux RedHat ES 6.4, 6.5, 6.6, 7 *, 7.1 *
  
  *) Not ARIS Risk and Compliance Manager
• SUSE Linux ES 11 SP2, 12 SP3
• Ubuntu 12.0.4 & 14.0.4 LTS

2) The hardware requirements depend on the sizing, e.g. number of max. simultaneously working users, expected size of ARIS databases, options for high availability or fail-over. Hardware sizing is strongly recommended prior to a server installation.
