Filename too long error

Hi, I am trying to open a model I have created and am getting an error message,

Open model

filename too long.

Other people can open the same model with no issue.

Can anyone help me?

Hi Emma,

Could you give more details ?

What's your ARIS version ? Do you try to open the model using ARIS Architect or Designer or via Publisher ?

Wha'ts the complete name of model ?

Hi BR,

I'm currently using ARIS Express 2.3-7.10.531253(SR 2010_06)

I have tried to open it directly through the ARIS Express file/open menu, or through windows 7 in the location on the drive it is currently saved.

The name of the model is 'small projects it's a BPMN diagram.

I moved the file to a different location that would mean the filepath was shorter and this still didn't work. But because others can open the diagram in it's original location, it seems to be a problem with my personal settings or PC.

I do have a laptop that serves as my hard drive, and the problem did occur after I had taken that laptop home to use remotely from my workplace, but not sure how that would have had an impact on opening an aris file. It is not just this file, but all ARIS files that have been created.
