Hi everyone,
we need your support in order to be able to provide video tutorials in an improved format on ARIS Community.
This is how can you help us:
- Please click on the link "Video Test" and run the video
- Please return feedback on how long it took you to get the video started, whether problems occurred when watching it or you had any problems running it at all.
- Please tell us what kind of Internet connection you used, e.g. DSL line at home or being at work
- You can just add the feedback as a comment below this article or send us an email at contact@ariscommunity.com.
Thank you very much in advance for your help! We appreciate it.
Regards
Eva
Hi Eva,
I'm using Orange MyT for internet connection (1MB). This is in fact my internet connection @ home.
It took me 25 seconds to load the page and had to wait on average 12 seconds for the video to play. By this I mean the system was buffering then played then stopped and played again for 15 times (i.e 15 x 12 secs).
But the buffering I think is quite normal because I used to have same issue when viewing other videos online.
What I did was clicked on pause, waited for about 5 mins and then clicked on play again. Then I could view the whole video at one go.
One thing I've noticed, normally when I view a video say from YouTube, I do the same thing, I mean I click on play then click on pause then wait for few mins and then click on play again. But when I click on pause there (e.g YouTube) I can see the progress bar moving and then I know I can click on play to view the video when the whole buffering process is over (See picture below)
But in the test video there is no such indication, this is why I waited for about 5 mins (taking into consideration that the whole video is 7:12 mins).
I will perform same exercise @ office where internet connection is much faster (well I guess LOL) and tell you about it:)
Oops, forgot to say that I'm from Mauritius - Indian Ocean :)
Cheers
Shameem
