Hi everybody,
this is to inform you that we put an update of ARIS Express online. We fixed some bugs in our help content and decided to let you benefit directly from those changes.
If you're already a user of ARIS Express, the software is going to be updated automatically.
What do you have to do?
If you're a user of a newer JRE version (>= 1.6.14): nothing. The update does happen in the background, and if finished, the next start of ARIS Express starts the updated version.
If your a user of an older one (1.6.10 to 1.6.13): just confirm the message, that you want to update.
Bye,
Frank
Did upgrade of ARIS Express Beta to V 1.0 and have strange problem, related to license key.
When ARIS Express starts the following message appears:
"Unable to run ARIS Express 1.0 because your license key is not correct or is already in use"
I did upgrade as was told by starting ARIS Express and restarting later.
Any idea what to do?
Many thanks in advance.
Hi Sergej,
seems that you've got inconsistencies in your configuration files.
Please do the following (for Windows):
Search for the folder and delete it completely: "C:\documents and settings\<your user\ARISExpress"
(may be possible that this path differs according to your system locale). Your need to register again, but then, it should be fixed.
Bye,
Frank
Hello
I have the same problem as Sergei Penkov said before. While starting ARIS Express it is not possible to open the program because of requiring the license key.
I tried do as Frank Weyand has advised but nothing changed.
OS is Windows XP and Jave is the latest version from jave site.
What else shell I do?
Hi Svetlana,
could you have a look in the log files?
Please have a look here:
"C:\documents and settings\<your user>\ARISExpress\log"
"C:\documents and settings\<your user>\ARISExpress\server\log"
If you find some exceptions here, please send them to us.
Furthermore, one question: do you have a "remote" user directory, which means, you do not have the files locally on your machine but remote on a server?
Bye,
Frank
Hello, Frank
Excuse me, I'm not a good in English and I'm just a lectuire not an IT specialist. As I understand your advice I should find file with the name "exceptions". I've found such a file in "C:\documents and settings\<your user>\ARISExpress\log". It calls "exception_091026.txt" and it is empty. I have not found any other similar files in directory "C:\documents and settings\<your user>\ARISExpress\server\log". What must I have there?
Please, could you explain, what does it mean "remote user directory"? How can I remote the files on a server?
Best regards
Svetlana
Hi Svetlana,
