check the documentation in the ARIS Download Center for details on supported platforms. About virtualising ARIS, best would be to contact a local sales representative, because your organisation might have added specific regulations about using VMs to your ARIS contract.

I don't understand your 2nd questions. The reports meant are probably ARIS reports provided with ARIS. They are not executed in Microsoft Office, but directly within ARIS' own report engine. Those reports generate output and you can select Microsoft Office formats like Excel spreadsheet or Word document as output format.
