Hello there!

I experienced some problems by importing a model from Aris Express to professional version of ARIS. I can't switch by import automatically Aris Express objects to original ARIS objects.  I'm forced thereby to switch these objects manually which encroaches upon time. Or there is no such possibility in ARIS Business Architect? Thanks a lot in advance.

Kind regards,

Ilya

Hi Ilya,

as soons as you imported the filter and/or templates for Express into ARIS Business Server, the standard symbols are used. Just deleting the symbols for Express in the administration module would do the trick, so the symbols are automatically switched back to standard symbols.

Also, a report switching the symbols would be useful.

Bye,

Frank

Works like a magic.....

Thank you Frank,

PS: go to administrator tap, then Configuration, then method, then Symbols. re-sort by type. delete the derived ones. this works for me...

regards

Hi Wilma,

which version of ARIS Business Architect are you using? When exactly does this message appear?

Bye,

Frank

Hi Frank,

We are having also difficulties when importing ARIS Express files into ARIS Business Architecture. The main issue here is the fact that the functions and event symbols are visualized in the layout as shown in Express. However, we do not want that off course. Hence, we deleted the Express filter and template in Aris Business Architecture (as you earlier advised to do). Nevertheless, we still see that the layout of the imported adf-files is inherited from Express, but this is what we wanted to avoid by deleting the Express filter and template. My question to you would be: "How can you enforce Aris Business Architecture to use its own symbols for the adf-files who are created in Express?"

Greetings,
