Hi.
I have designed a process map in the trial version I got access to (see below). How do I add sub-processes and roles to the main (top leverl) processes in the trial version???
I am in the process of selecting a software to support our new Management System. Need to get a quick answer.
Thank you.
Martin
Dear Martin,
You seem to refer to a screenshot which is neither embedded in your post nor attached to.
As you stated that you are looking for a management system, I assume you have started a trial of ARIS Advanced. Please note that ARIS Enterprise could be a much better fit to an Enterprise Management System as position it. On ARIS Pricing - ARIS Cloud you can compare the ARIS editions.
Cheers

Dear Martin,
there is a mechanism we call "assignment" by which you "zoom in" on an object - such as a process in your map. This assignment is effectively a link between an object and a detail model. By convention you would name the detail model the same as the object you assign it to. In your modelling toolbar you find a symbol resembling two parts of a chain. Select this when you have selected the object you want to detail and a wizard will ask you the details of what type of model you want to use to detail your object (e. g. an EPC, another "Value added chain diagram" or a "function allocation diagram", which is particularly useful to connect resources to your high-level processes e.g. owners, org. units etc.).
As you say the "assignment is effectively a link between an object and a model". I just thought I would mention that the Assignment Function also works for Connections between Objects as the connection is actually an object as well, but maybe not usually thought of in that capacity.
