after a new installation of ARIS98, i try to restaure a database from version 97
but the "system" password required is refused...
i tried the system password of current 98 Installation, and also of the previous 97 installation without succes...

This should actually work without issues.
Did you try to restore the database in ARIS Architect or in ARIS Server Administrator with specific command?
And is that database backup file OK? Try to open it with WinZip, 7-Zip or the like. It should contain 2 files (data.cbk, version.txt).
