In our academic context with a yearly project... and a list of students year per year, how to manage easily the grant of licences to students...

For Aris connect designer, i grant the right at a global group level, but for database access i have a database per students groups... And one of each group has the rigth to use Aris Architect.

Then i have to change the list of users granted to licence ARIS Archiect...

But how to delete the previous  list of students with licences ARIS Architect ?

In the past, existed a "Site Administrator" with monitoring, specially on licences..

Is this still available ?

thanks

Dear pam,

Have you tried to assign licenses only via user groups?

Moving then the user accounts for students from a user group called "no licenses" to "Architects" would be easy.

Cheers

Yes, you'r rigth... and i'll do that for the future...

But i had granted Architect licence per user because the student group used ARIS connect design, and one per group only use BA for functionalities not (yet ?) implemented in connect, as create matrix... and they have to choose who will be the BA user... a

So i have now 20 users with access to BA in a list of... 1000 potential users (synchronization with LDAP which was not enough filtered !)

if you have a tips or tricks to find them... !

You could run a batch script against User Management running down the list of all users which product license they were assigned to.

Example:

C:\SoftwareAG\ARIS10.0\server\bin\work\work_umcadmin_m\tools\bin>
y-tenantmgmt.bat -t default listPrivileges -u system -p manager -au system

This shows the license and functional privileges of system (-au = affected user).

Hi,

a better, simple and standard solution !

I was writing the script and to obtain a list of existing account, i go to generate a report in adminUsers

and i discover an existing report "user with rights..."  Exactly what i was looking for... !

ARIS ? so easy !
