Hello,
Is there any backend API that I can use to script the adding of new custom attributes to models? Currently any new attribute must be added manually and that's quite tedious.
I appreciate your help.

Nevar

Hi,
as far as I know, there is no method for this. Hidden or not.
But we do have a feature request for this: Software AG Brainstorm Feature Request #04232
@M. this can make sense, e.g. if you need 5 new attributes for every model and object type for a RCM or something like this...

Hello Nevar,
if you are adding attributes to the method on a scale that you wish you could automate that, I would ask you to reflect what use-case for attributes you have. Normally the method should be something very stable - changing only with little frequency. Consider that you also will have difficulty in removing method content again, since it will result in the global (tenant-wide = all databases including their backups) loss of the data stored in those attributes.
Also value lists of attributes should hardly ever change. If they do, there is something you should consider to model instead of modifying the method all the time.

@M Yeah it's not that it changes often, it's that we have to add say 5-10 attributes to each model in the method as a once off. As it's a manual process, it takes time and is error prone. And of course, new models are added sometimes and the attributes would then need to be added to those models.
@Robert Thx, I wasn't aware of the feature request. Yep, exactly; we're using this for RCM :-)
If you are able, please support the request (by liking it)... We are already on the first page of the best requests :-)
