Hello,

One of the integration capabilities in ARIS is to use the combination of "Link" and "Title" attributes to link to external systems, files, www etc. However, in scenario that the target location changes i.e. files deleted/ removed, how ARIS automatically validates that. Is there such functionality in ARIS that tells us without clicking on the link?

The customers see this as a great value of linking documents, however, the downside is due to human errors deleting the target files, location etc.

I am interested to hear from the experts and IDSSCHEER.

Regards,

Rupesh

Rupesh,

There may be a smarter way to do it but what I have is a query that finds the object name and link attribute, I take this out into a text file and run it through Xenu link sleuth to find broken links.

good luck

Hello Rupesh,

there was a free of charge christmas give-away by http://www.p-und-z.de/portal/download/download.html

their "link checker" report script is only explained in German (look for "ARIS® Report: Link Prüfer" )

but maybe you can use it as well.

Best regards, Martin

Question:

I downloaded the report and try to run it. I am using ARIS 7.2 (SR2011_02)

I get the following error:

Abort - screen resolution

The run will be aborted because your screen resolution is not big enough to display the dialogue. Please increase the resolution to at least JavaException: java.lang.NullPointerException: null x {1} pixel.

I am not able to edit the content of the report (no access). Does anyone know how I can solve above mentioned error?

With regards,

Jorijn Versloot
