replace a Prefix and suffix of the model name

Hi All,

Is there any way to replace a Prefix and suffix of the model name with new one.

eg: if we have 3 models - Demo Model 1

                           Test Modell 2

                       Fail Modeled 3

I am trying to remove the Demo and Number part and display as D Model 0.1

                                                           T Modell 0.2

                                                           F Modeled 0.3

Also if there is any way to remove the prefix and suffix in a model name.

Hello,

There is no standard function to do this.

This kind of operation can be done easily by script. A script to transform model names automatically can be developed in one day.

Well, you could try to use the standard rename script "Replace text attributes" in the category "Administration". But you would need multiple runs for this to work as this is a normal "Search & Replace" functionality...

And yes, as a customized script this would also work quite well and yes, there are some providers quite willing to to something like this (we included :-) )
