Hello,
Could you please help me in this:
I am developing a dashboard using ARIS Aware. I have three widgets, the first one to display the sector name, the second one is to display the underneath departments, and the last one is to display the underneath sections..
I want the departments name to be filtered based on the selected sector, similarly, the section name to be filtered based on the selected department.
This feature was super easy in ARIS mashzone…just drag and drop the source column. But in ARIS Aware, I am facing a lot of difficulties.
Can someone explain this to me in detail..

Hi,
the filtering in Aware Dashboarding has been changed in comparison to MashZone NG, indeed. It now works "the other way round", so to speak - instead of telling a widget that it is being passively filtered by another one, you now tell a widget to actively filter some other widget.
So, in your case, go to one of the Comboboxes, click on the "Filters" icon in the properties panel, select the column you want to use as filter value, and then the TARGET widget column on which to apply the filter. A guessing algorithm offers you a clever preselection in many cases.
See the screenshot for a simple example. Note that if you have multiple widgets with basically the same data that should all be filtered according to the filter widget, this will be done automatically, saving you a lot of clicks.
