Hi there,
Trying to automate a report in ARIS 9.3. The help documentation states you need the Report Automation function privilege for this to work, but there is no such function privilege. When selecting the Scheduled reports folder and clicking on the "new" button as per the documentation, I only have 4 options, Database, Ad-hoc analysis, query and dialog. There is nothing showing "report" as per the documentation.
I've tried to put it into a bat file that I'm using for my auto backups, but the parameters have changed since version 7 and I don't know what they are meant to be. If someone can please assist with either option 1 (how to schedule it in ARIS), or option 2 (adding it to my backups in the .bat file).
Many thanks,
Fran
Hi Fran,
did you already achieve your goal? If not, then I just want to give a guess, why you did not get the right dialog as you described above.
Actually I use the scheduled reports functionality for updating several publications and it works fine so far. For creating them I use the Administration Tab, select a Database (in the attached first screenshot it is "Test"), select Scheduled Reports underneath the Database node (same level as Publications, Users, Usergroups, ...) and finally new -> scheduled report.
In the following assistent you give a name and user credentials in the first step. In the next steps you choose the Report itself, the Database and finishing with a TimeTable. (Starting screen in screenshot 2 - sorry, that both screenshots are in german language).
