Transform subprocess (expanded) into subprocess (collapsed)

In BPMN, a distinction is made between objects of the Subprocess (expanded) type and objects of the Subprocess (collapsed) type. You can transform an object of the Subprocess (expanded) type into an object of the Subprocess (collapsed) type.

Procedure

  1. Open a BPMN process containing an object of the Subprocess (expanded) type, or create such an object.
  2. Right-click on this object, and select BPMN/Collapse.
  3. Click on OK.

The subprocess is transformed into an object of the Subprocess (collapsed) type. If you want to edit the subprocess, you first need to transform it again into an object of the Subprocess (expanded) type.

If you copy an object of the Subprocess (collapsed) type, the process in the target is transformed into an empty object of the Subprocess (expanded) type.
