We are switching between manual and automized tasks in some processes we document at the moment. I'm not sure how to visualize the automation of these functions.
Any ideas how to mark a function as automized?

Hello Björn,
there are several conventions you could use:
- don't assign a performing role (carries out), but only a supporting Application system type to the process step
- use a different function symbol for your automated tasks
- define an attribute indicating manual or automated tasks and make a symbolic occurrence of the attribute for the automated tasks.
I believe the "different function symbol" that M is referring to, is the "System Function" symbol; this was available as a standard symbol in earlier versions and I assume it is still available. In combination with no human role associated with the function, this makes it clear that it is an automated function.
That sounds reasonable :-)
Not using a role aboslutely makes sense.
I will create a function with a displayed attribute for automated tasks.
