Hey guys,

After I export an ARIS model to an XML file I try to import it into another instance of ARIS that we have running and I get the following message:

[line:361, column:2] : Symbol 'ST_SERVER ' is not allowed in model 'Network diagram' by the method. [line:387, column:2] : Symbol 'ST_SERVER ' is not allowed in model 'Network diagram' by the method. [line:460, column:2] : Symbol 'ST_NETWORK_2 ' is not allowed in model 'Network diagram' by the method. [line:486, column:2] : Symbol 'ST_NETWORK_CARD ' is not allowed in model 'Network diagram' by the method. [line:534, column:2] : Symbol 'ST_SERVER ' is not allowed in model 'Network diagram' by the method. [line:725, column:2] : Symbol 'ST_FIREWALL ' is not allowed in model 'Network diagram' by the method. [line:398, column:22] : CxnOcc (CxnOcc.-4X5X4Kvo2NE-u-L--2O9IsGbedyt-y-L-34-c) ignored. [line:435, column:22] : CxnOcc (CxnOcc.-4X5X4Kvo2NE-u-L-2ioOsyNQ0bs-y-L-34-c) ignored. [line:497, column:22] : CxnOcc (CxnOcc.-4X5X4Kvo2NE-u-L--1UjhdloJZwj-y-L-34-c) ignored. [line:697, column:22] : CxnOcc (CxnOcc.-4X5X4Kvo2NE-u-L-1fCjf5Nl8KO-y-L-34-c) ignored.   Not all of the components are there in the design. They are missing in action. I have confirmed that I am using the system account and I am logged into the database as the entire method.   Am I missing something on importing the designs?    Thanks,   Dave

Please disregard this request as these are custom symbols made by our architects.

Actually I do need help here. I show that the type in the instance I imported from is ARIS default which makes me wonder why it isn't in my other instance.

Hi David,

I'm not sure about this, but is it possible, that you have custom model types in your source environment, where a new model type was derived from "Network diagram"? Then the error message may refer to the new model type, which it does not know in the target environment, as "Network diagram" although the custom model type is intended.
