Hi,
I have been trying to update ARIS server to the latest release by downloading files from Download Center but I am not able to proceed further in the wizard when a dialog box appears with the message "Found runnable 'octopus_m' of an unknown type....". Attached is the screenshot of the same. Can someone help me with it?

Hi,
this looks like the file generated.apptypes.cfg from the SR12 Setup used to update was damaged..
there shoudl be an entry like this..
register app type octopus_m com.aris.octopus.y-octopus_server-run-prod ..
which would wrongly look (according to your error message) look like that
register app type octopus_m com.aris.octopus.y-octopus_merver-run-prod
Maybe you downloaded DVD was damaged ?
Download and try again..
If that does not hepl, please provide the log files arsi_install*.log from the %temp% directory.
