I know that EPC -> BPMN conversion is possible (and already experienced with it) but I wonder if the other way around (converting BPMN to EPC) is also feasible (and if so how… :)

I am experimenting with conversion of EPC models to BPMN. Can you point me at the procedure for doing this? I cannot find the relevant instructions. I have EPC models and I am looking for the procedure to convert to BPMN.

Hello,
If you are using IT Architect or equivalent ARIS program (full version) you can use the function "Generate model" by clicking on the right mouse button (context menu of the Aris model within the Explorer module).
But the result of the conversion BPMN -> EPC or EPC -> BPMN is very poor. Because many of the BPMN methods didn't have an equivalent EPC method. And vice versa.
Please keep in mind that both models have different objectives. With ARIS Express I have no experience.

Hi Eli,
the convertion from BPMN to EPC is possible. You have to consider that some BPMN objects are not converted (e.g. gateway).
