I used the rss feed from flitsservice.nl - a Dutch site where mobile speed limit checks are reported - as the datafeed for my first MashApp.
After manipulating the content from the feed, it was easy to show some nice graphs in order to understand where and when the radars were hidden along the Dutch highways. Once the available maps are extended to the Netherlands, I will post an update of this app that any consultant in the Netherlands will need ;-)
Have fun!
Gerard
Cool mashup! Do you know our gallery server? What do you think about having your mashup as another example there?
Greetings
Marie
Great job, Gerard!
I wish I had such a speed limit mashapp tonight for this place on a highway in Saarbruecken. Police took a picture of me and my car. Hopefully it's not too expensive.
Besides that you are getting now quite famous with on the ARIS MashZone Gallery you may also allow me to put your mashapp on our internal demo system, My virtual ARIS.
And in case you haven't entered a mashapp description yet, I'll put your name into it if that's OK with you.
Next thing you need to do: Open an fan club! ;-)
Hi,
Really a great job Gerard! Thank you for this mashup.
Now an extended version of the speed trap mashup is available. Check it out!
Hi Martin,
Brilliant! May be we should start a new ariscommunity group on speed traps. Then all countries over the world can deliver their data feeds, which will result in the Mother of All Speed Trap Dashboards ;-)
I really like the reporting functionality. How did you do that? New functionality in MashZone?
Cheers,
Gerard
Yeah! The product needs a new name: Speed Trap Zone :)
I used Google Docs to provide the reporting functionality. I also created a new post.
Feel free to comment :)
Best regards
Martin
