Hello,

I am still having problems trying to execute the jar file. At work I am getting the following messages and the system just hangs as the jar file execution never seems to finish. When I try to execute the jar file at home I get java options but not sure what to choose. The attached screen shots show what happens when I execute the downloaded jar file to my pc at work. All I need to do is be able to change the symbols to use the Aris Express symbol forms. Is there an easier way to do this as this is taking an undue amount of time.

Also, my uploaded model had disappeared from the cloud repository this morning. Why would this have happened?

Hi,

could you please have a look into the system settings in Windows?

In the Internet settings, tab "connections", there is a button "LAN settings", where you can set the proxy settings. etc.

There is an option "automatic configuration". Can you switch that off and try to start the JAR file again?

I have done this, but the jar file execution still hangs. Moreover, if I leave the proxy settings 'off' I cannot access the internet at all. When I switch it back on I can access the internet.

Hi Louise,

in you temporary folder, please have a look for files starting with "ARISLauncher".

The problem is, that you force ARIS to search for your proxy settings, this does not "come back", so to say.

Could you ask your IT for the proxy settings? You can enter them in the dialog mentioned by me above and switch of the "automatic check" therefore.
