Hello! We are exploring ARIS asthe new BPM tool in my organisation. We are still not clear on how many viewers are including in a license? We are a medium organization, around 500 colleagues - the team of editors/designers is, of course, very small, but we want to have the diagrams published and accesible to all the staff. Do we need to buy 500 viewer licenses, or how does it work?
Any tips/shared experiences on how do you manage users at your companies are appreciated!
Hello,
yes, any viewer needs a viewer licence to view the content. There are flex licences (more expensive) where only a logged in user consumes a licence and named licences (very affordable), where every viewer consumes a licence permanently. You have to decide on one of the two licence models.
So the decision depends on your expectation on how frequently your viewer users will be using the BPM tool and the ratio of the prices. If you want to cover high interest peaks after rollout of processes, you should go for the named licence model. If you reckon only a low percentage of the target audience will ever be logged in at the same time, you are better off with the flex licence model. Don't count your designers. Their viewer role is covered with their designer licence.
