ARIS 10 SR2. I'm trying out the various subordinate fact sheets, and most of them behave as I would expect.
The "Matrix" fact sheet doesn't do anything, though. All I get is an animated progress bar saying "Loading matrix model", and nothing happens.
Is there something I'm missing? Should I be able to use the matrix view in Connect?

The model type Matrix model is supported in Connect Viewer since ARIS 9.8 SR6:

And since ARIS 10.0 SR4 we support also in Connect Designer creating matrix models:

Are you using a specific Connect configuration/modification set?
When you use "classic" does your matrix model gets loaded then?
And how about creating a new very simple matrix model in Architect: Does that gets loaded in Connect?
If that doesn't help, I suggest to raise a support ticket to inspect your ARIS Connect Server installation by Global Support ARIS.
