We'd like to be able to model the relationship between a vendor and an application / applications.
We already have models that show a hierarchy of vendors, and separately, models that show a hierarchy of application systems. What we want to do is to connect them together.
For example, I'd like to be able to have Software AG as a vendor object, connected to three application system objects ARIS, ADBAS and NATURAL Each of these objects can then be reused in various process models, of course.
What have other users done to connect vendors to application systems in ARIS?
Hi, my suggestion. ARIS, ADABAS, NATURAL are IT components (object type Application system type). In their Access diagrams create a connection to your vendor object. I'm curious, which object/symbol type you have chosen for those? Probably you distinguish between ARIS as an IT component and the "Enterprise information solution" (or whatever you have called ARIS for your end users) as the business application you have built on ARIS technology components.
