Hi,

While are experimenting on simulation.

we have modeled a process that has three different roles working on it, and each of the roles come in different shifts.

We modelled this in "org chart" and assigned shift times to Role(group object:org unit) through"Schedule".We have used occurance copies of respective roles in the process model and ran simulation.

While running simulation we observed that shifts were active beyond the defined period. As we tried to look at possible causes...we noticed "recurrence end " condition set to "no end".

We then matched the "recurrence end" condition to simulation run time end...and Now..It works...shifts stop exactly at end times....and through put fell almost to one third for the same simulation period.

Just want to know is this correct as we are not sure how "recurrence end" in Schedule is linked to Simulation period.

Given below is the screen shot.

Can some one clarify on this please.

Many Thanks.

When the simulation period ends, all processing is stopped. So unless you use a setting like "Exit simulation when all processes are complete" there should not be any activity after the simulation time ends regardless of a setting for the recurrence of resource availability times.

Murali,

Hopefully you worked out how the schedules work to control the human resources to get the required behaviour,

did you complete this piece of simulation work and see some benefits?

thanks

Geoff
