Error opening ADF file with Aris Express

I've created an ADF file containing a BPMN model on my laptop using Aris Express 2.3. When I try to open this file on py PC (with Aris Express 2.3) using the 'Open dialog' the preview shows the model. Bu when I click the 'open button' an error message shows: "File <filename> is not a valid ADF file". I can open other ADF files in the same directory, so the location cannot cause this error. Can anybody help me with this problem?
