Hi
I am working on Scripts and I have pasted the texts that i need.
But I have a condition in my template that If the condition is say "A" then a particular content should be inserted and if "B" then another.
How should i go about doing this? Please suggest.
Do I have to include an "IF" statement in the design view of the script?? If yes then how can it be done

Hello Markus
Yeah i noticed that there is an error statement generated.
Any suggestions how should i go about doing the above scenario?
Will shifting to the code view be a better option?or a macro??
I did some scripting in the design view and then switched to its code view, but I could not find the static part(the description and the texts) in the code. All i could see was constants. Are the static parts of the design view, placed in constants in the Code view??

Hi Nelson,
when you have created a report using the design view, select it in the navigation tree and select "edit" - "edit code" in the main menu. Then you will see the created code of your report. But be aware, if you change something in the code view, it won't be changeable using the design view again.

Hi Markus,
I tried inserting small amount of codes here and there, i.e. If loops. But the system always gives me warning that i will loose the design view if i save the file.
How should I progress with this.
I want to use a bit of programming and also not loose the design view. Its that not all of us here are related with programming. So in future they can easily modify the conetnets through design view.

Hi Nelson,
it is not possible to mix programming and creating a report using the design view.
The only little workaround would be, to save the created report as a template, then creating a new report with this template, change the code and use it. If changes are needed, you just create a new report with your template and adjust this, then you have to adapt your changes to the code of the new report.
I'm sorry I can not offer you a better solution here.

Markus
