Hello,

We are starting ARIS implementation on a big global company.

The implementation will take place at the organizational unit.

We are thinking about the best way to develop the process Architecture of the company and how to implement it in ARIS…

we are facing the following condition:

· The Organizational unit working in a project based mode – meaning they are getting a missions of analyzing and improving pre-define part in a certain unit in a process oriented way.

· Sometimes they need to analyze AS-IS Vs. TO-BE situation and to emphasis the improvement potential and main gaps

Like I said – the organization is Global and from my point of view we need to take into consideration the following aspects (this is not something they are doing today – but I think that if we are going to implement wide process oriented approach we need to take them into account) -

· we need to defines a "reference model" so, when we start a project we can use pre-defined best practice processes.

· We will need to deal with variation of the processes – meaning that Process X can be  different in business unit A,B and C. but it’s also can act differently between different locations (UK, USA and others)

· Although the Organizational unit is acting in a project mode we will still need to defines a wide company process map and the question is how can I combine the project approach with the "big picture" of the company…

So… not simple situation, but challenging… I would like your help and thoughts about how to develop such process architecture and how to implement it In ARIS (group structure)

Thx in advance,

Orit
