Dear Community,
could someone kindly tell me if there is any way to define default size dimensions (width, height) of symbols (i. e. Application system type) in ARIS Business Architect (v7.3)?
Thank you in advance!
Best regards, Patrick
Hi Frank,
thank you for your answer, but I did not express my intention clearly enough:
I have a database with severals models, but often the space in different symbols was not enough so that the size of the symbols have been adjusted manually by the author. I would like to know if there is any way to..
1.) Define a default size for ARIS default(!) symbols, to make sure that new models do not have this issue. I. e. instead of the default size 84x53 px for functions, I would like to set it to 134x53 px.
2.) If 1. can be implemented..
Is there a method/option to apply this new symbol size to existing models?
I hope that you could understand what I mean. Thank you in advance for your help!
Best regards, Patrick
Hi Patrick,
maybe I did not really get the point, but that is what templates are actually made for.
Have a look at the "presentation 130" template. This template sets the size of (most) objects to 130% of the standard size. You cannot set the size in pixels, but as you can see, to a percentage.
You can assign templates to model types in the user options, or even as a general template to be used. Thus, if a new model is created, the objects are adjusted to the specifications described in the template.
You can additionally open an existing model and apply the template settings to all existing objects.
Bye,
Frank
