Hi All,
I was looking at some of the BPMN diagrams and I needed views on depiction of interaction across pools.
- Where should simple message connectors across functions in pools suffice?
- Where should catching and throwing message events be used instead? Also, should these be occurrence copies of each other?
- Where should a single message event be used between the two functions across pools.
Also, should "link event" pairs be occurrence copies of each other?
Best Regards,
Saakshi
There was a discussion about the proper style of message usage elsewhere - this can give you some hints.
To your questions: Yes, you should use occurence copies of the events IMHO since this enables you to "jump" to the other occurence in the model (or another model). In regards to the pools, I recomend that you will look only at a process in one pool and use black boxes for the other ones, which then will be modeled in other diagrams.
