Hello community,
I'm trying to build a script in order to list tasks in a report. But I don't understand what the default sorting is in ARIS. If I call occurences of tasks in a BPMN model the order in which they are listed seem to be in random order. I know I can sort them with the sort() function but here I can for example list alfabetically. Is there any way to order the tasks in my BPMN model in the sequence in which they occur?
Regards,
Wessel
I have the same problem -- for reports and also the "Overview" tab in ARIS Connect, I would like the tasks to appear in the correct logical order. "Sort by process flow" does not follow the flow correctly, when there is a branch in the process. In the past we could force the correct order by numbering the tasks (in the Name attribute) but now there is no "alphabetical sort" so that doesn't work any more.
For reports, in the past, the only way I could get this to work correctly, was to number the sub-processes and use the numbers to sort them. We used a dedicated attribute for the number, and then sorted the reports by that attribute. But this does not seem to be available in the Overview tab in ARIS Connect.
I hope we will hear some practical solution!
thanks in advance to anyone who can help,
John
