What is the difference between 'Administration' in ARIS Risk & Compliance Manager, ARIS Administration in ARIS Connect, and User Management?

User Management is only relevant for standalone installations. In the following only ARIS Administration is mentioned and represents both applications.

In ARIS Administration and in User Management you manage users, user groups, function privileges, license privileges, licenses, and configurations for all ARIS products.

In 'Administration' of ARIS Risk & Compliance Manager, you manage only ARIS Risk & Compliance Manager data.

You can display users in ARIS Risk & Compliance Manager, but you cannot edit them.

Create new users and their function and license privileges in ARIS Administration.

Then synchronize the data between ARIS Risk & Compliance Manager and ARIS Administration.

Users are created, deactivated, or deleted in ARIS Risk & Compliance Manger by synchronization. Also, function and license privileges, names, passwords, e-mail addresses, et cetera are updated.

User groups in ARIS Administration do not correspond to user groups in ARIS Risk & Compliance Manager. The latter are based on internal roles, such as Audit manager, Risk manager, Tester, etc.

Therefore, user groups are still created, and assigned to users in ARIS Risk & Compliance Manager.

You have learned how ARIS Administration, User Management, and 'Administration' in ARIS Risk & Compliance Manager differ. Additional information is available in the relevant online help.
