Hi,
I'm trying to add a new a user defined attribute to an EPC model in ARIS 9. I go to Administration->Configuration->Method->Attribute types. Then I click on New, select Integer type, language - US English & "custom" for the name and click finish(no need for other screens). I'm now able to find the new user defined attribute in the attribute type list.
When I go to Administration->Configuration->Conventions->Filter and modify a user defined filter, I am unable to see the new user defined attribute in section 11. to select the attributes to assign to a specific model type.
Does anyone know what step I'm missing to see the new attribute in the model attributes section when modifying the filter?
Thanks for your help
Hi,
you need to assign the attribute now manually to the model type. In the administration tree, Administration->Configuration->Method->model types, search for the EPC, double click (or edit) and you can add the attribute in the "choose attributes" page. Click "add" on this page and enter "custom" to find your attribute type directly.
No, (after logging out from all databases), the attribute is available for the EPC in the full method. If you want to have it in the filters as well, you need to make it available in the filter wizard for these filters.
Bye,
Frank
