Hello,

I can´t create new object, model or attribute types. Well in fact i can create them in the administration area and include them to my own filter type that i sucessfully created, but i can´t choose my created object/atributes/models. I already activated my own filter for the database i use.

Can anybody please tell my how i can create new attribute/model and objects type and make them chooseable in my models in my database?

I am actually working with Aris Architect (9.8) education/student version on a local database (for my bachelor thesis).

Thank you for your help,

Tim

Hi,

Tim

Hi,

1. I am quite positive, that you did not create new Object types. Maybe you created new symbol types?

2. It is not enough to add them to the filter. In the method section you also first have to declare, which object types may carry your new attribute types. Open the object type and follow the wizard. You have to configure your attribute types for the object type there.

3. Likewise for your custom model types you first have to add the new symbols and allowed connections in the method section before you can use them in the filter.

Hello M. Zschuckelt,

Thank you very much for your answer. I solved my problem by creating a new database. I already configurated the attribute and method types in my filter the correct way. I think the problem was, that the changes i made in my filter were not adopted to my actual database.

Regards, Tim
