With the new view generation, you can simply change the view of a process model or create swim lanes to meet the different needs of use-cases.
You can choose predefined views or configure using the criteria Details, Group by and Layout.
A view is a temporary representation of a model. Views are not persistent. The following is possible with the View generation:

This is a great feature!
Is it possible the limit or expand the values in the "View Criteria" based on specific objects in our method filter?
For e.g. (1) if we don't use roles, we'd only want to have group by positions, (2) group by risks, (3) group by business rules etc.
If it is possible, is it possible for the selection of value to be controlled by specific user group or profiles? E.g. If user A is not assigned to a group that has Risk objects, it shouldn't allow them to select the Risk option in the view.

this is not possible by method filter, but by XML self-configuration. The answer to the last question is no.
