ER

Hi everyone,

I have installed Aris 10 client, with local database system, on my laptop. While trying to run the Local Database, it threw an error saying " Server Local Cannot be started". I tried re-installed ARIS but I am still facing the same issue.

What could be the problem?

Regards,

Ekaterina

Dear Ekaterina,

please make sure that you've chosen the radio button "ARIS with local standard database" during the installation, as mentioned in our FAQ.

Should this not resolve the issue, please let us know.

Kind regards,

Maria

In your %temp% folder you will find 2 log files (ARIS_Install.log and ARIS_Install_full.log). Is in the first log file any error reported?

Cheers

Hi Rune,

I have installed ARIS with localserver on my PC (with Win_7_prof). When I start ARIS the Client don't see the LocalServer. Message tell me "maybe something with port". Tell me please, how can I detect what port number use LocalServer. And how can I change port?

Updt at 29.10.18 - I include the file with screenshot - we can see that PostgresSQL Server started and work

Regards,

Aleksander

Dear Aleksander,

I am sure if you refer to this dialog when starting Architect:

There is neither an option nor a need to modify the list item LOCAL, because the ARIS Client setup added that list item automatically.

If you can't see LOCAL, then most likely the setup didn't succeed. Reasons for a failed setup are shown either in %temp%\ARIS_Install.log or %temp%\ARIS_Install_full.log.

Cheers

Rune

Hello Ekaterina,

make sure your laptop meets system requirements. As far as I know, to start local server you'll need 8GB RAM at least.

Nikita

Hello Nikita,

So, does the requirement of 8 GB of RAM apply to installing a local server too?

BR,

Aleksander
