I am setting up models/objects/connections to fully support the RACI chart in ARIS Connect; and I want to make sure I am using the correct Role-to-Activity connection to represent Accountable. I can probably figure this out by trial and error, but it would be a lot quicker if someone can tell me! :-)
What is the connection type, to be used in EPC models, between Role/Organizational Unit/Position objects and Activities, that is shown as "A" in the standard/default RACI chart in ARIS Connect?
thanks in advance
John
thank you M . . . and we can rename that to "Accountable" so it will be intuitive to the designers when they create the connection. I did a quick test and confirm this works.
I see there are two "decides on" connections in the method; type number 323 and 232. Apparently they are used for connections between different symbols; other than that, I do not understand why there are two. These BOTH will work with the RACI chart in Connect, so we need to enable both and use whichever is available for the objects/symbols we are connecting, correct?
Yes, that would be my recommendation. Often there are homonym connection types when in some language the relationship between two object types requires a different term though in English it may be the same term. This way you are safe if one day you want to integrate users from other regions in their language.
